Default Elite Beat Agents?

I came across this gem of a game when my friend showed it to me, and I couldn't wait to get it for myself. It was incredibly addicting, and even after getting the "Lovin' Machine" rank I still fool around with the songs, this is one of the best games I've ever played.

What I was disappointed about was that nobody that I asked had any idea what the game was...I realize that some games aren't advertised as well as others, but almost nobody I know has ever heard of the game, lest played the wondrous thing...I know the ds isn't that obscure of a system, many games such as Yoshi's Island DS, Mario Kart DS, etc. are well known.

So I was just curious, seeing as though users of these forums might be a little more in tune to video games than average folk...have any of you ever played/seen/enjoyed immensely the game?

A couple links for background for those who have no idea what I'm talking about:

It's one of the only really good DS games out right now, how do people not know about it?

That being said, I don't own it, but have played it.

When I first heard about it, I thought about buying it too. Then I came across this game: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/385965 which is pretty much the same, but then for the PC.

Now, I'm a HUGE FREAKIN ADDICT when it comes to Stepmania ( www.stepmania.com ) and I think I'll be let down if I buy Elite Beat Agents because I absolutely adore the Stepmania system and the EBA system looks crap compared to it. Is this "prediction" right?

I am a self-proclaimed master of rhythm games, and I own Dance Dance Revolution...now DDR and EBA are both rhythm games, but other than that there aren't really any similarities, they have very different systems that can't really be compared, and frankly I love them both. (and I tried that elite critical beats thing, and it was pretty retarded :P)

the only thing that could make elite beat agents better is better songs. all of the ones it has now are either old or just bad.
